Sean Tyas's reworking's of Insigma's 'Open Our Eyes' continues to fly with Ferry Corsten HAMMERING the track at every opportunity this week. Galaxy FM mix last Saturday, Tuesday night at Cream Ibiza and perhaps most tellingly he used it in the closing minutes of his Essential Mix, live from Global Gathering on Saturday night. There were a few goosebumps in the office on Monday morning when we listened back on the Radio 1 site!
ATCR's promo mailout of Sean Tyas's monster mixes of Insigma's 'Open Our Eyes' have started to provoke some suitably monsterous reactions. Those Above & Beyonder's spun it on their TATW show last week, while Armin quickly followed suit on ASOT on Thursday. The UK's premier trance DJ Matt Hardwick has also lined it up to feature on his new mixed-live at PaSSion compilation.
While E-TCR take a break for the summer, some news from our long-lost sister label ATCR. Man or the moment Sean Tyas has been busy as hell fashioning a remake of one of the label's greatest treasures. Insigma's 'Open Our Eyes' was championed by Tiesto and Oakenfold through the summer of 2001 and was signed to Virgin's VC label. Sean has craftily kept the essence of what made the track great but has heaped a huge piano line on top of it. ATCR has done a limited promo-only mailout of the track, we'll let you know the reactions as we get them.
Already cited by Ferry as being a"Great Track" with a "sweet feel" and hammered by Above & Beyond on TATW 115 & 116), 'Slipstream' is finally unleashed today.. Available from the usual retailers, if the CD release includes Versions 1 & 2 of the original mix and both of Carl B's excellent reworks.
DAVE PEARCE GIVE'S 'OUT OF SILENCE' THE BIG
THUMBS UP!
All hail Dave Pearce who got behind Mark Thornton's forthcoming 'Out
of Silence' this week on his Radio 1 'Dance Anthems' show this week. Despite
the fact that the Dance Anthems crew managed to make a total of four different
spelling mistakes when crediting the play (it's Mark ThoRnton's 'Out of Silence'
Skyform VS SpiraL MotionRemix on E TCR), it couldn't
fool us! The track is released Thursday 11th of May through the usual retailers.
MARK THORNTON RETURNS!
No sooner is JPL's 'Ilmola' up and running than E-TCR is back at you
again with more trance finery and the follow up to Mark Thornton's massive
'Now You See'/'Theme For Star Crossed Lovers' EP. Another double-header, this
time we are proud to present 'Out of Silence' and 'Inner Peace'. Already finding
favour in its Andy Bagguley version from Above and Beyond (please see below),
the EP also comes with remixes from Sunquest and Skyform vs Spiral Story.
More info as we get it!
'ILMOLA' HEATS UP THE SCHULZ HOUSEHOLD!
With the full promotional mailout for JPL's 'Ilmola' now done, we've
started to get some cracking reactions in. None better though than the one
we recieved from Heather Schulz. "If it's the one Markus
had me tearing the house apart looking for before he went out to play last
Friday, then yes, he loves it and is smashing it!" 'Ilmola' is released
on CDR and DD today, available from the usual stockists.
